Matthew Mancinelli (Age 40)(February 7, 1984) is a Movie and TV Distribution CEO (Mance Media Global), 4K TV Channel Owner (4KUniverse), and Entrepreneur based in Los Angeles.
Mancinelli is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of 4KUniverse and is an early proponent of 4K Ultra HD.
Mancinelli has 18 years of experience in content distribution, licensing completed programming from U.S. cable channels & producers to broadcasters in every territory of the world. He has exhibited in Cannes, France over 25 times at MIPTV and MIPCOM.
Formally Senior Vice President, Worldwide Distribution for Shankly Entertainment (now Principal Media), Mancinelli launched his own company, Mance Media, in January 2012 at the age of 28.
From 2007-2009, Mancinelli was in at the ground floor of the multi-platform network launch, MEN7. At that time, there were 8+ series in all stages, including development, production, post-production, graphic design, branding, pre-sales, & distribution. This studio-like environment coupled with Mancinelli's bird's eye view from distribution enabled him to grasp the intricacies of the business.
Mancinelli began his career working for, and mentored by, industry veteran Paul Rich at Bennett Media Worldwide. Mr. Rich was the former Executive Vice President of Distribution for Metromedia Broadcasting, selling such classics as DYNASTY, CHARLIE'S ANGELS, and STARSKY AND HUTCH to the global marketplace. Metromedia later became FOX Television Network through the sale to Rupert Murdoch in the mid 1980’s.
Mancinelli has sold a wide range of television series including HDNET’s BIKINI DESTINATIONS, Gabrielle Reece’s THE EXTREMISTS, Travel Channel’s FIRST ASCENT, Nat Geo's AMAZING ADVENTURES OF A NODBODY and Spike TV’s HALF PINT BRAWLERS. Series distributed by Mancinelli have aired on every major cable channel in the United States, including: Fox Sports, ESPN, Outdoor Channel, PBS, Discovery, SpikeTV, Travel Channel, Nat Geo, & Lifetime.
In May 2014, Mancinelli distributed his first scripted feature film, a comedy starring Noël Wells (Saturday Night Live) titled FOREV on DVD/Blu-ray in North America and to all-rights distributors overseas.
In November 2014, Mancinelli spearheaded the company's first theatrical release, the coming-of-age drama THE TOY SOLDIERS, playing in 13 major markets through AMC Theaters.
On January 8, 2015, The Hollywood Reporter published an Exclusive article unveiling Mance Media's movie release slate for the year, totaling 10+ Day & Date titles and marking the company's first full year as a movie studio.
Mancinelli is a Penn State University Alumnus and grew up in Andover, Massachusetts.
